STEVE ACHTEMEIER BLA, ASLA President, Design, Sales, Project Management

Steve received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin. Following graduation, he went to work for a premier Landscape Architecture and construction firm in Chicago's North Shore area. In 1992 he took over management of the landscape lighting division. He purchased the company in 1995 and concentrated its focus on unparalleled service, design, and installation.Steve is an active member of the design and sales team. He has participated in the design and management of such projects as Musha Cay Resort (Bahamas), Crate & Barrel (Chicago), Acxiom Corporation (Downers Grove, Illinois), as well as residential projects of all sizes.

NICK MILLER BLA, MBA Design, Sales, Project Management

Nick joined the Lightscape team in 2006 with a background in Landscape Architecture. He received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University and has worked for a variety of top firms in the Chicago area, focusing on high-end residential landscape design. He draws upon his professional experience to provide clients with designs that are both conscious of the landscape design intent and overall environmental impact.As an active member of the design team, Nick has participated in the design and management of such projects as Barrington Hills Country Club (Barrington Hills, Illinois), Sunset Ridge Country Club (Northfield, Illinois), FFC Gym Old Town Rooftop (Chicago), as well as residential projects of all sizes.

G O R D O N W I L L I S BLA, ASLA Design, Sales, Project Management

Gordon joined Lightscape in early 2011 with a background in Landscape Architecture. He received his Graduate Diploma and Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Leeds Metropolitan University, England, and has worked for a variety of reputable firms both in the UK and the Chicago area. His attention to detail is an essential component to the success of any lighting design solution.As an active member of the design team, Gordon has been responsible for the lighting design and management of many fine residential projects throughout the Chicago area.

UBALDO MARQUEZ Service Manager, Design, Sales, Project Management

Ubaldo joined Lightscape in 2008 and has taken on the roles of service manager, design, sales and project manager. He received his certification to sell and install Eaton generators in 2009. Ubaldo pulls from his previous experience in sales and service to provide our customers with unmatched personal attention and support.As an active member of the design team, Ubaldo has been involved in the design and management of many high end residential projects throughout the Midwest. He has received rave reviews from clients for his outstanding support and management of the service department.

AL MARTINEZ Vice President, Supervising Electrician

Al has an unmatched knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems amassed from years of industry experience. In 1993 he started working with Steve installing lighting systems for a premier Landscape Architecture and construction firm. When Steve purchased the company in 1995, he asked Al to become a partner of Lightscape, Inc. and soon after he received his electrical license. As lead electrician and crew manager, Al's vast knowledge and attention to detail keeps our installation techniques unmatched in the industry.Al oversees just about every project in one way or another and has participated in the installation management of such projects as Water Tower Place (Chicago), Musha Cay Resort (Bahamas), Griffith Labs (Alsip, IL), Lake Shore Country Club (Glencoe, IL) Shore Acres Country Club (Lake Bluff, IL), Crate and Barrel (Chicago), as well as residential and commercial projects of all sizes.

DAVE ACHTEMEIER Design Consultant

Dave joined Lightscape in 1998. He was drawn to Lightscape by way of his life long interest in the arts. Dave's project management skills and design ability allow him to turn his visions into reality on each project. Dave has participated in the design and management of such projects as Water Tower Place (Chicago), Crystal Point Condominiums (Lake Forest, Illinois), Medina Country Club (Medina, Illinois), as well as residential projects of all sizes.

ANGIE WEIMERSLAGE Office Manager, Service Coordinator

Angie joined Lightscape in 2009 and has quickly become a pivotal part of our team. Her role at the firm focuses on organizational development, office administration, service crew coordination, and assisting in day to day operations. Angie brings an astute knowledge of business operations and organization through prior experience in office administration in the construction industry.

Page 2 SITE SURVEY & CLIENT INTERVIEWIn the initial stage we get to know you and your project and start to generate the overall ideas that will illuminate your landscape. This is also the time to get an understanding of your desires and budget. We will visit your site and take notes about your property as well as the surrounding neighborhood to ensure a cohesive design.DESIGN PROCESSThe design creation process starts with a base plan, either provided by a Landscape Architect, Designer, or if nothing exists, a sketch created by our designers of your existing features. When working with a design firm, we are often brought into the initial design meetings to ensure power and controls are covered and initiate the idea generation process. From there an initial concept is created conforming to city and national codes. We work with the landscape architect or art curator (if applicable) in specifying the appropriate fixtures and lamp types for the best results. The design process is a collaborative effort between all members of the design team. PRESENTATION & APPROVALThe lighting plan is submitted to the client for approval. Revisions are made if necessary and once the client signs off on the project, all required electrical permits are pulled.INSTALLATION AND ENJOYMENTEvery job is laid out by the designer / project manager so that our installation crews know where to locate each fixture. Our crews have experience in the landscape industry and utilize their plant knowledge to ensure the utmost care to plants / trees and their root systems. We dig all trenches by hand, preserving sod, roots, and ground cover. Crew members approach mature trees using a spoke-and-wheel trenching method that protects the integrity of the delicate root structure. If necessary, on-staff professional tree climbers ascend trees using "spike-less" shoes to install down lights. All efforts are taken to ensure that your systems is hidden during the day and enjoyed at night.

Attention to detail is the signature quality of our installation crews. English speaking foreman oversee your installation from start to finish. We utilize hand dug trenching to ensure limited impact on tree and plant roots and overall site conditions during installation.

Crew members have a background in landscape development which gives them the knowledge and experience necessary to care for the landscape as they work. Each crew has professional tree climbers and electricians eliminating the need to utilize subcontractors. This helps to ensure our high standards are met on each job.

Whether installing a low voltage or line voltage system, our installation standards ensure a lighting system that will provide stress free enjoyment from start to finish.
